Nick Gauthier is the groove behind Faded Blue's guitar playing. Hailing from North Rustico, Prince Edward Island.  His main influence growing up was tight nit family, friends, and suroundings. Being brought up in a musical family Nick had many opportunities to be around guitar playing at its finest with both his father (Gary Gauthier) and older brother (Chris Gauthier) already being established musicians.

Starting his music career at a young age, Nick began playing guitar at seven, and found himself playing the drums for his school band at age 12. Soon after he began playing in local bars and all ages events around P.E.I.  he became an established guitar player through out the Isand's Music Scene. 

Nick moved to Halifax in September of 2006, to start the long prosess of finding a group to play in, and to further his career in the music industry. It was February  2007  when Nick stumbled upon Faded Blue through a flyer given to him by one of his friends at the famous "Rock Star Party". Nick called Tyler the next day and not only found a great band to play in , but found great people and great friends.
 
After practicing and playing several shows, it was evident that the band found their groove and was feeding off of it every night, and for a guitar player, it's sure hard to find.
